No one can say for sure. She will probably want to come back once she has mated successfully, but of course, something could happen - she might have strayed to far from your house and be lost, she might be run over, she might get into something poisonous (like antifreeze dripping out of a car), a coyote might get her, she could get accidently locked into someone's basement or garage, some cat.haters might hurt her (it happesn. :( , sadly), a dog might attack her ...
A lot of things can happen to outdoor cats, which is why it's better to keep cats inside, and only allow them outside on a leash (yes, cats can be leash trained) or in an enclosure.
When you cat comes back (hopefully), have her spayed asap. This can be done even if she should be pregnant, but if you don't want to do that, you'll have to wait till the kittens are about 8 weeks old - ask your vet. I know the first option sounds horrid, but consider how many healthy kittens are put down every year because of overpopulation. More kittens will just mean more are put down, unfortunately. :(
As long as she's not spayed, she will keep going into heat - and when she's in heat, she will always try her hardest to get out and find a mate. Once she's spayed, she'll be much less likely to try to escape.
Apart from that, spaying also lowers the risk of mammary gland cancer and several other diseases considerably.

There are greater risks in contact in a female this is youthful then 10-twelve months previous. She could want a c-area or she won't know what to do and you will could desire to help her out. Too undesirable you probably did no longer take her in maximum appropriate away and spay her rather of permitting her to preceed with the being pregnant. If each little thing is superb, spay her by utilising the time the kittens are 8 weeks previous and shop the kittens for a minimum of 10-12 weeks. To Sylas - this is thoroughly untrue - you could cope with the kittens from the time they're born and mom cat won't kill or abandon them (this could hardly happen with a feral or wild cat - yet no longer a housecat).

I hope for your sake that she does come home to you. But if she is stricktly an in door cat and she isn't famiular with being out side it really is difficult to say.
You need to get proactive about looking for her. Since she may not know her way home.
If you have photo's of her put them up in your neighborhood as it may help you to get her back. Also check with the local animal shelters in your area to see if she has been picked up. Look also in the want adds to see if any one may have found her.
When and if you get her back if she isn't pregnant get her fixed, so that she won't get pregnant as there are way too many unwanted animal around already.
I wish you the best with getting your cat back.

Why are you letting cats outside when you already know that things can happen? If she is out and in heat, the chances are very high she got pregnant.

Stick some food outside along with a favorite toy or something that she likes to sleep on. She'll come back within a couple days.

Yes your cat will come back after she has mated. Sounds like you are going to have some new kittens to look after. Best of luck!

Yes she'll come back. it might take a day or two, but she'll come back.
FYI you can get her spayed even while she's in heat. It will save you from killing her from yowling ALL NIGHT LONG!!!!
You can also spay her immediately after she comes back, unless you want kittens.

yes there is a good chance she will return. Cats are known to disapear for weeks and then return. It happened to my cats over the years. I always wondered where they went and why.. Please ignore that idiot above me, he needs to grow up and stop sucking his thumb..
