Ok,I've just become friends with this one dude. We've been talking for probably alittle over a week, but we've became pretty close in a short amount of time.Him and his girlfriend are always fussing and fighting, and finally he broke up with her.We were talking, and I sorta just threw my opinion in about their relationship. Then I told him that it wasnt any of my business, not wanting him to think I was trying to butt in or anything. Then after I told him that it wasnt any of my business,he said that it was my business. That just confused the crap out of me.Why did he say it was my business when I dont even know his girlfriend or the type of relationship they have?

Your friend must trust your input and is appreciative of your being willing to help him with his rough time.

Perhaps he said it was some of your business so he could go out with you and you could take the blame for breaking them up. It isn't any of your business and he needs to grow up and take responsibility for his actions instead of putting them off on you, someone he barely knows. A "little over a week" is not long enough to know diddley-squat about someone.

Because he wants you.
