While not all believers are rich and greedy, some prominent believers are so. The Bible calls them "wolves in sheep's clothing," and unfortunately, they reflect poorly on their religions. For example, there are some false prophets of Christianity that parade around like great teachers of the Word, yet only desire fame and wealth. Christianity should not be judged by the actions of a few, although most of the time it is.
While there are religious people that are rich and greedy, there are also nonbelievers that are the same, and then there are some believers that are poor and starving as well.

You're stereotyping. There are greedy, rich nonbelievers as well. I know a lot of people who are Christians, who are very giving and caring. I also know a lot of giving, caring people who are not Christians, but still good people.
Your question really can't be answered because you have no statistics or proof to back up your claims.

There are as many poor believers as nonbelievers, and the justice of it is relative. Rich nonbelievers help the poor in as high a percentage as rich believers..

I'm an atheist but I'm not poor or starving. Most religious people are NOT rich and greedy. Most are poor from giving their money to religion.

In my personal opinion just because you say your religious or you go to church doesn't mean anything. Alot of these so called religious people say that or go to church because of how their viewed by their peers or the public(most wealthy religious people). I believe GOD doesn't play a role in material wealth but just in the wealth of knowledge, he sets the rules and boundaries(BIBLE) and sets us lose to play the game(LIFE). In the end were either rewarded or penalized for how we played the game. Not saying that he doesn't interfere with life, but that's beyond my limits. There are alot of poor people out there in this world today, but the bottom line is YOU determine your future. If you want to sit around all day saying I'm poor and not trying to do anything about it than you deserve what you get. Remember this, God only helps he who helps himself, and also Its easier for a camel to get through the eye of a needle that for a rich man to get into heaven.

People who are greedy aren't at all religious. It is sinful to value money or gold rather than fellowship.
Deuteronomy 15:7
If there is a poor man among your brothers in any of the towns of the land that the LORD your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother.
Not all rich people are greedy, but many are. I am a believer, but poor. Whenever I recieve more than my share, I give (tithe) even more than usual. It is God's commandment to us, as HIs children.
Here is a good rule of thumb, if you believe in God's grace...
Leviticus 25:35
" 'If one of your countrymen becomes poor and is unable to support himself among you, help him as you would an alien or a temporary resident, so he can continue to live among you.

Well where I live here in Washington State, it's the other way around. And the rich people who "claim to be religious" only go to mass on Christmas and Easter just to keep up with appearances. Now if you asked a Catholic if that is just, they would tell you no it isn't okay to only go to mass twice a year and go to communion without going to reconciliation first..

In the first place, it isn't true. Since nonbelievers are as a class more intelligent than believers, they tend to be better off financially. In the second place, justice has nothing to do with the way the world works: it is a human ideal, not something which is intrinsic to nature.

Considering majority of the world's religious people live in the developing world, I fail to see the basis for your claims.
If you mean the stereotype of comfortable middle-class Christian housewives baking cookies for Sunday school, then it's just that - a stereotype. Classifying everyone under one misunderstood banner, is that just?
