No, it wouldn't. Only change your name if you really want to for a genuine name that you have thought long and hard over. Also if your name was given you for a reason e.g. after grandmother/father then you should keep it as you rmiddle name it the least, but changing a name from something that you mumand/ordad chose is disrespectfull. No. It would be ungrateful. Your mother gave you that name for a reason, you may not like it but it was chosen for you. I don't particularly like my name that much but I would never think of changing it. I'll make an exception if your name happens to be Engelbert.
