Yes, your body is more sensitive to alcohol after sedation and the combined effect can be dangerous, leading to unconciousness, coma or even death. You are lucky to be OK.

Not the best thing in the world to do so soon after being sedated.
After being sedated you should not drive a vehicle, sign any legal documents, eat a large meal, or DRINK ALCOHOL!

Duh! Yeah especially as the drugs they use cause amnesia so you could have burnt your house down or somethin like that! Next time go home to bed ;)
