I am glad you feel at peace. Most "christians" do not understand, but follow some cult leader, it being the path of least resistance. My daughter says I spend way too much time here (and I probably do) but most of the time I am not on line. If you want to send me (or I am sure many others) your serious questions, I would be glad to attempt an explanation, or study, regarding your question.

Some Christians have a vast knowledge of the bible but most do not. Lets face it, most people dont have enough time to study the bible all day. Therefore Christian belief is based on personal experience with a growing knowledge of the bible. They have many questions themselves and try to learn as best that they can. When you ask if I kill God, many look at it as if someone asked you "If I kill your mother". When you ask a good question about the bible many cannot give you the right answer so they choose not to. I'll admit many Christians seem ignorant and generally not very nice. Many Christians have an attitude that they are better than others and feel like they should push that in your face. I personally believe it is wrong to judge others.I wish you the best of luck on your journey through life and hope you find the truth that we seekers hope to find.

No. It in no way implies that. Ask a precher about theology, you'd get about six answers from each preacher, ask someone who doesn't exactly know theology yet, you won't get much of anything. And by the way, just because a person says that their a Christian, doesn't mean they really are, saying that all Christians are one way or another isn't right, its like saying that all immigrants are illegal, in truth that isn't true. High level discussions of the Bible can take place with some really devoted followers of Christ, but asking the random public about these things, they might not be sure enough to talk to the entire world.

Many Christians are very capable of higher levels of discussion. In the months I've been here, I've seen extremely enlightened and researched answers by Christians. I have myself done research with a Strong's Concordance and put much thought into answers only to see an answer such as "It doesn't matter, God doesn't exist anyway." get chosen as best answer. I couldn't care less about getting 10 points, but if I spend 30 minutes on a question and my answer falls on spiritually deaf ears and blind eyes, it seems like a waste of time. I have gotten better at detecting genuine questions, and look up a person's other Q & A before spending too much time on one. Yahoo Q & A has taught me what "throwing pearls to the pigs" actually means. It isn't comparing anyone to pigs, but compares their ability to appreciate words of wisdom to a pig's ability to appreciate pearls. Both just roll it into the mud.

Well at least you admit you have a sole that's encouraging in it's self. As far as your deep theological questions. I believe most people realized you were a very young kid early in the game and didn't wish to encourage your rather spiteful questions. I on the other hand am young myself and am more concerned with your salvation than your insulting attitude is the reason I answer your questions. God Bless.

I usually avoid silly questions that ask, "if I kill God..." because they usually don't involve intelligent theological discussions. I prefer to learn something on this site and engage in mature dialog rather than see how many atheists I can anger. I believe there are plenty of other Christians out there who do the same so please, don't make assumptions and lump us all together... you wouldn't want to be stereotyped that way would you?

Why you gotta pick on ALL of the Christians? Why can't you just single out the psychos and f-ck with them? Most of the Christians on this site are just your average everyday garden variety Christians. Not tongue speaking, bible thumping freaks who think all homosexuals and non freaks are hellbound.
Be nice to the people who are progressive with their beliefs, because they are the ones who are making religion tolerable for the nonreligious. They are not the problem- they're part of the solution. They aren't stepping on anyone else's feet- stay off of theirs.

Precisely, they will defend their God no matter what but like you say when it comes to a little deeper theological question, they cannot answer.
A little more studies needed there. And we do admire people with education. Hey but for our God, we try to defend Him all the way.

I am Spiritual also...yet how you phrased your question and wonder why others would be offended by your remark of ' harming ' God...that disturbs me also.
I am of no ' religion ' yet am still very respecting of all faiths and religions, church's, temples etc. You did not sound to be respectful of their ' space '. . . not cool. Maybe do some ' soul work ' on that one. ' High level ' discussions also require high level awareness and respect. Peace to you.
