Try using hydrogen peroxide as an oral rinse. It is basically water and kills bacteria while whitening your teeth. And it is cheap!

Mouth washes have have floating particles. Nobody would ever buy mouthwash if they saw the particles! The coloring helps cover-up the particles. If you ever wanted to, you could put your container of mouth wash in the refrigerator, you would see the particles more easily. The colors themselves are chosen to differentiate product lines, and to project a clean image. People tend to associate greens, yellows, whites and blues with cleanliness. If you are concerned about the coloring, try Listerine Whitening.

The coloring, blue or green usually is psychological association with cool and refreshing. If your worried, I wouldn't be personally, then gargle with hydrogen peroxide, that also helps whiten teeth. Chow
