How many breaths does a person take in a day??

Depending on your age....younger people have a higher respiration rate...babies and toddler have an even high rate. The average is 17 bpm so take 17 x 60 x 24 and you have your average. That's 24480 breathes in a 24 hour period.

Saw this information on a chart at my doctors office last week.

bpm = breathes per minute

Alot but at the same time we exhale as well and this is the source of the problem that the world is in right now, too much carbon dioxide. Time yourself, about one breath every 10 seconds, 6 breaths in a minute X 60 minutes in an hour X 24 hours in a day equals your answer. Do the math.

Why are you counting breathes? As long as you don't have to count them you must take enough. But if you need a no 6 or 7 a min should do it you can do the math with that.
