I have always been curious about what happens when someone puts a battery inside of a gun, in which the firing pin hits directly on the back of the battery.

Please, only real answers.

If the battery fits, nothing will happen - Unless!!! Unless you use a black powder muzzle loader. Then you can launch one mess of twisted metal and acid out the business end for absolutely no reason at all.

Truth is, I'm not sure anything negative would happen to the battery until it struck something, though I do suspect my worry about it breaking and acid getting all over your gun is right.

My advice - Try it. THen post it on Youtube, and tell us.

Nothing should happen. It would be like hitting a battery with the thump of a nail. There is no powder or fire, so nothing should ignite.

huh? most likely nothing.. That is if you could even find a battery that would fit inside the gun barrel.

Answer: You risk getting the battery stuck in the barrel or chamber for absolutely no good reason.

Now, a real question... Why?
