Im not overweight. im 5'7 and weigh 140 lbs. At what speed should i go on the treadmill for begginers. Ive been trying to use it but i just cant seem to sweat. should i like do warm ups or what. Also same question for exercise bike. Except i do sweat for the bike. But whats the speed for bike and for treadmill. Thanks...

Good question you don't want to go and get a muscle spazz. Set it at a comfortable number, if you feel the you should increase the number go right ahead. The same applies to the bike, once you get the hang of the tread mill and the bike increase the number.

More important than speed is the angle you use the treadmill at. Because the treadmill has a motor it effectively pushes your legs back so it is less effort than running in the street. Increasing the angle you are running at compensates for this effect.

try about 8-9km/hr to start for about 5 mins if you feel comfortable increase to 10km/hr. You have to build up on this over a couple of weeks. At the end of your run on the last minute increase to fast jog or sprint for 1 minute as this will help you to build up staminer.

I generall walk at 4-4.2 mph with the elevation set at 15...

Start out slow, at a jogging pace, and slowly work yourself to comfortabl pace.

Depends on how fast you run! I like to put it on full speed for short periods but if you can't run fast then i wouldn't recommend it! lol
