Drivers tend to loose a great deal of body water due to heat in the car. This loss (up to 10 lbs according to Dale Jr) is in the form of sweat.
Most of us who are in relatively decent health are able to control the urge to urinate/deficate for hours on end...most of us make it through a work day without having to go, for example...and the car is the driver's office.
I am aware, however that some have elected to cath themselves prior to a race. If you don't know what this is...and are curious...drop me an email and I'll be more than happy to explain it to ya.

NASCAR drivers are smart enough to go to the bathroom not too long before the race, so it shouldn't be an issue, the longest race is the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte, and they should be able to hold it even through that race, nobody likes peeing in their pants.
An average race is 3-4 hours, and I would estimate drivers would have time to go an hour before the race, and then they would have to hold it for another half hour through the post-race, unless if the driver won.
Even then, the drivers sweat a lot, so it shouldn't be anywhere near an issue.

Dale's truck has a port-o-potty and a full selection of cardboard cut-outs if things are going to take a while. Check out the poetic genius of tony stewart just above the t.p. dispenser.

Think that they have to hold it, but once during an interview with a driver he said he had to go really bad and went in a Gatorade bottle.

For the drivers who dont like "diapers" They just pee in thier firesuits. the amount of heat in the cockpit dries thier suits in minutes.

Often it gets so warm inside the car that they will sweat off their extra moisture. If they do have to go, any racer will just go right in their suit.

I always assumed they wore adult diapers like the astronauts wear during takeoff and landing. But now you have me wondering.
