Is it better to ask a specific time like "saturday night", or "sometime"?

it depends on the girl
I've had both---
sometime is more casual--- it lets them make the move---
"sometime-- like... when are you free" if a different concept however--- it lets them choose the time though
making up the time yourself also works--- however often they may be busy at that time.
also: just random, abeit important advice: don't say "[name], will you go out with me" because that's over-used and kinda unnessicary @ any rate--- so make up your own method.

I'd say sometime because Saturday seems kinda forceful or like that's the only time you have open for them to see you.

I'd rather them be specific because then I'd be too shy to go up to them and tell them what time was good for me. I don't know, maybe it's just me. I like it when people are straight forward and get right to the point.
