Here is the new way to tell about how many points you receive daily:
1. Are you:
male-8
female-2

2. Age:
17-26 - 4pts
27-37 - 3pts
38-47 - 2pts
48-58 - 1pts
over 58 - 0pts

3. What do you weigh?
Enter the first two digits of your weight in pounds

4. height?
5'1-5'10 - 1 pt
over 5'10 - 2pts

5. Do you spend most of day:
sitting=0
mostly standing=2
walking most of time=4
doing physically hard work most of time=6

now add up score and that is your total # of daily points allowed. The min # of points you are allowed is 18 and the max is 44.

I did some research on the internet about 6 months ago and I am not sure how reliable it is but here is what I found: less than 150lbs have a point range of 18-25 and 150lb to 174lb has a point range of 20-27 and 175lb to 199lb has a point range of 22-29 and 200lb to 224lb has a point range of 24-31 and 225lb to 250lb has a point range of 26-33 and over 250lb has a point range of 28-35.

you have to factor in more than height and weight. they need need your age and activity level as well.
but, assuming you are between 17 and 26 have a job where you sit occasionally, you should eat 29 points a day.
if you are older thanthat, subtract 1 point, and if you are more active than that, add 2 points.
remember, for every 10 lbs. you lose, subtract a point from your daily intake.
