Anybody who wants to hurt you is not going to tell you "I WILL HURT YOU! I AM HONEST!!" to your face. You have to be able to identify the creeps.

Because lying gets them what they want. They obviously feel that the truth won't get them anywhere, so they tell you what they've used in the past, especially if it worked. It's like the old saying, "If it's not broke, don't fix it". Guys that lie eventually get found out, and then they have a hard time getting anyone to believe them. So, it's best to guard your heart when dealing with guys. Before getting in too deep, don't do anything with them that you'll regret later. Become best friends. If they want more than that, it's time to move on. When you give them more than what you're comfortable with, you give them the power to hurt you. And you deserve more than that. <*)))><

sometimes a guy lies cause your putting pressure on him to get an answer he doesn't want to give you.maybe he doesn't want to hurt you but if you want to hear lies its what you'll get tell him you can be honest im a big girl and mean it don't make him uncomfortable by expecting i love you for what to him could be a booty call. so what if men lie women do too we feel compelled to lie when we know someone wont accept the darn truth

In reality, guys don't want to hurt girls. In reality however, guys are more interested in their needs than in the girls (we're not talking about all guys, just those that hurt girls, and I'm assuming this is the emotional hurt, not physical). They say what they say because they are looking out for their own interest and feel that being honest will not get them that interest (sex). It is therefore easier to tell the girl what they want to hear. So...it isn't that they want to hurt you, it is just that they don't care for your feelings as much as the feelings in their pants.

They don't.
It's very few men that actually "want" to hurt a girl. But the issue that is present is the fact they aren't able to be honest with you or themselves about what they really want - which in turn ends up leading you on - and hurting you.

well i am a guy and i don't want to hurt my girlfriend. It happens but it is not something i want to do. most of the time it is a misunderstanding about what my intentions were.
BTW, this is not just something guys do. my girlfriend is just as guilty of the same thing. And i am not going to even get into my ex's!
