The 2.4 Liter engine is one of the best four cylinder engines in the world. If you get a 2.7L V6, be sure to change your oil every 4000 to 5000 miles. Also, the Avenger is built at Sterling Heights Assembly Plant, which recieves awards for quality nearly every year. The SE is the base line model. The SXT is the middle model, and the R/T is the top of the line model. The SXT includes a lot of equipment that the SE does not. I have driven all models of the Avenger and I can't believe that there are midsize cars that are much better. I don't think the "My gig" radio is worth the money, as you can easily plug an I-pod into the radio. Also, when buying any new car, try and find one that does not have a lot of test drive miles on it.

If it says "Dodge" on it, walk away.
Have you checked out the Honda 2000S? It's a kick-***, dependable sports car.
