1.Golf Ball – Do not use a distance ball – Tour soft feel balls are the best
2.lie – Your lie is very important. Tall grass – when grass is between the ball and club it will not spin
3.Grooves – You must keep the grooves clean to spin the ball.
4.Now all you have to do is the ball solid making contact with the ball before you hit the ground.

2 ways actually on long to mid iron shots you hit the ball on a slight decending swing path. Called pinching the ball using the ground to help put back spin on the ball.

The other way with short iron or wedges. Open club face slightly & aim slightly left of target to keep ball on correct flight path. Take a normal swing & the ball will back spin for you. the more spin you want the more you open the club face & aim left. Keep in mind the more you open the club face the less distance your ball will fly.

this ones easy, you hit the lower part of the golf ball, unless you are putting then i dont know, but on a normal swing you would use a wedge and hit the lower part of the ball to get a good backspin.

You have to hit the little ball before you hit the big ball. If you can afford it, take a couple of lesson from a pro, it's worth it!
