Apparantly it is the Scottish accent. About 5 years ago there was a news report conducted by the BBC which found that the Scottish accent was the most liked in the UK. The London accent was the least liked but being the BBC they omitted to mention that and sent their reporters to Liverpool and Birmingham instead. In what I thought was a video replay ITV did exactly the same thing a year later with exactly the same results.
The top accents were Scottish then Irish, the Geordie accent did well but can't remember where it was ranked.

the many dialects in britain are all cool but I prefer the lower end of the accent...gutteral...more of a drawl. Australian is pretty hot too but again not the upper class dialects Have you seen the movie Snatch? the former rugby player turned actor has a hot accent in that one.

Mine is of course...or so lots of people in America would have had me believe when I was visiting friends there...it got quite embarrassing at times!

I think you can make any language sexy but some languages have advantages over others. Like France; it is sexy by itself no need for modification or pretending its sexy.
