It should be just one. It's not treated any different than a speeding ticket, as far as I can tell. It's possible that a cop might be able to articulate that it constituted reckless driving, in which case it would be more, but the simplest violation you are talking about is just like failing to stop for a stop sign: you didn't obey an official traffic control sign (eg stop signs, one way signs, yield signs, right turn only signs, exit only signs, etc).
