I'm a naturally curvy woman. I'm not overweight nor Am I over a size 12 Or anything like that. I'm a size 8 weight 135pounds 5'2 In hight. measurements 32-c-28-36 Hips. For Me that's pretty good, Better than most woman I know. But the way media puts things and all they make it seem like anyone who over a serant weight or pant size is fat. But according to this anyone who waist line measures between 25-34 inches depending on your hight is healthy. While anyone under 25 inches or over 34inches is not. I'm not saying this is true or not, Feel free to prove me wrong here.

No, you don't need to be a size 0 to be considered thin. I don't think 31-23-33 is thin, I think it is ridiculously thin if you aren't naturally built that way. I'm glad you brought this up, because I'm sick of hearing how being a size 0 is somehow expected if you are short. I'm short (5ft2), but would still have to be around 90lb-100lb max to be a size 0! How is that healthy???

I think you sound like a slim and healthy size. And I'm not just saying that because I have similar measurements lol. Actually you sound more like a size 6 on your hips than a size 8. Is 36 inches the measurement around the widest part of your hips, you know around the top of the thighs and butt? If so, most size charts state this as a size 6 or even a 4 sometimes. Lucky you!

I don't know if there is a minimum limit for waist size, but there is certainly a maximum limit, which I believe is no more than half your height inches. So for 5ft2, we should not have bigger than a 31 inch waist to be healthy.

Take care : )

being thin is really over rated, being healthy and happy is a much better goal to achieve. I wear a size 12-14, my measurements are 42-32-42. so I have a nice hour glass figure that I'm very comfortable in. I walk every day and eat healthy and feel good. What difference does a number make? If you like who you are then that's the only thing that matters wether your a size 0 or a size 20. The only thing that should consern women is wether they are healthy or not. If you take care of your body then it will be the size it's supposed to be, not the size the runway thinks it should- or the size the public thinks it should.

The "media" causes allot of problems. I think the best of the media of late is the TV show "Ugly Betty". People don't have to measure up to some unhealthy (and artificial) standard portrayed in the media, the most any of us can do is try to be at our best and compete only with ourselves to be our most healthy and well. It is sad to be the best you can be and constantly feel that you're not good enough! If you think of your family and friends and people you love, do you look at your sister or mother or child and think, "if only he/she were a size 00, he/she would be more lovable or attractive or a better person.", chances are, you can answer "no, I love this person the way he/she is". Well that's probably how the people in your life feel about you as well. It's difficult, but somehow we have to stop letting the media have so much control over how we feel!.

You are a great size! I am a 3-5. Know days people have to/want to be thing otherwise you always hear this person gain this weight this person lost this weight a size 0 is to me really unhealthy, expressibly starving yourself. I use to be that way till I found a great guy and likes me for who I am. Plus everything is all done it height. People should stop watching the stars as long as they are happy with the body, why do something.

If I weighed 90 pounds I would never be a size zero! My hip bones are a certain width, and at my thinnest --112 pounds (I am 5 ft 4), I was still a size 9!

This media thing is completely out of hand, and all we as consumers can do is stop buying products that promote unhealthy weights!

"Thin" is in the eye of the beholder. The best way to calculate a healthy weight, is to calculate your Body Mass Index (BMI).

http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/

calculates your BMI and tells you if you're underweight, normal weight, over weight, or obese... it isn't perfect, as it doesn't take into account muscle mass for athletes and such, but it's a very good concept. I think that most models today would fall in the underweight category, which is why they don't look healthy.

Women certainly do not need to be a size 0 to be thin that is just unhealthy and from a male perspective(or my perspective it looks skeletal and gross)!!
