I think I am starting to realize, a lot of personal issues come from not having enough confidence in myself...having fear in the worst of things...I become dependant on others to build my confidence...males predomenatly- does anyone have any advice or suggestions...I'm broken hearted now-and feeling so sad--because I put so much expectations and then get let down. Help-

well first you have to realize there is someone out there that is always better than you and worse than you(Better looking and worse looking). no one wants to hang out with people with a negative vibe.you can live your life wondering what would have happened or you can take a step in to the new(or different) to take chances and not regret n e thing that has happened. just remember that fate is what u make for yourself and everyday that u question yourself your might just be passing up a chance of a lifetime. you r just scared of changes

Believe in yourself is basically all you have to do. It's a lot harder than it sounds. I know all about having self confidence issues, I can't remember the last time I've said something good about myself. It's like I feel bad when I say it.

Believe that you can do things on your own, you can do what you want to.

Take a break from dating for a while, think about what you WANT and how you can get it even if it means taking a few risks. Let go of the safety net, try to walk on your own, baby steps at first. Don't see the bad things about yourself think about all the good ones.

Building confidence takes time. Be patient.

This is a hard one. Whats worked for me is just start to look at all the positive things about you and that you do. Know in your heart that you are a good person and that no matter what anyone tells you. Believe that you are worth alot and that eventually the right person will see it. Before someone can love you, you have to love yourself.

Okay, one thing I've learned over the years is that the best kind of self-confidence is the kind you cultivate on your own. Whether this means excelling at school or work, or learning new things outside your routine; if you do something that you can feel proud of, then you're on your way. Just make the effort to do the best that you can, and no one can hold it against you. Be true to yourself, in other words.

Even though in reality i dont feel that way at all because i feel so down! i have to tell myself those things in order to look good in front of guys and let them see that no guy is gonna get me upset...u get what i am saying!? Try it!! and believe me i works! If you set your mind to it! Dont let it get to you!!

Self talk works amazing. Look in a mirror and tell yourself good things about yourself. Stay away from negative people. Some people make it their life mission to tear others down.

Well just think of all the people who love you and your friends and how much people appreciate you being around. Find things that you are good at. You'll realize that you are a great person and your likeable.

Challenge yourself to do things without the help of others. Learn from your mistakes. You'll grow smarter faster and have confidence when you succeed.
