Thats 4.24 to 1
tough odds when both departments are trained pretty much the same way.

The NYPD is something like the sixth largest standing army on the face of the earth (That is they are more NYPD officers then most countries have in their entire army) The LAPD, would not stand a chance

It depends what side Notch Johnson was on. As everybody knows Notch is a sworn officer for both the LAPD and NYPD.

NYPD. You never hear news stories about NYPD expended hundreds or thousands of rounds of ammunition on a suspect and still not killing them. LAPD does hat on a regular basis.

Actually, they have very similar training and practice the same basic tactics - both of which are heavily influenced by training and tactics perfected by the Israeli military.
