Following advice from her doctor she had an eye test, stopped drinking coffee and tea.
Unfortunately this has not worked.
I have heard a rumour that energy saving bulbs can cause migraines.

If you want to prevent further migraine, you should go for a one-time treatment called Atlasprofilax - it's simply amazing, but not available anywhere in the world yet.

The costs are approx. USD 200 - good luck!

Tell her to ask her doctor for PIZOTIFEN, they are a migraine preventative, I use to suffer from the same, but since I have been taking them, I only have a bad migraine about twice a year, which is a big improvement. PIZOTIFEN are taken one every single night, regardless of wether you have a migraine or not.

Yes the energy saving lightbulbs do cause migraine in some people. I for one have the problem, and also strip neon lights in shops effect people. I have been told it is because they have an intermitant flicker.

I also have used migralieve tablets, an orange and a pink, and they work well.

The migraines are also made worse by stress.

Suffering from migraines myself during the menopause. Hot sweats have recently stopped for a couple of months and I haven't had a migraine during that time! You dont say how old she is, but if she is menopausal this could have a bearing on it.

At the start of a migraine she could try chewing fresh ginger. It is hot, however, it worked for me and several friends. No need to swallow the chewed root she can spit it out. This info I got from a book many years ago on the net. Title, Foods That Heal. I have heard the light bulbs give out some sort of emissions, sorry can't help further with that one.

never heard of certain bulbs causing this problem, but all dairy products can cause migraines, mine were caused by a hormone imbalance which was picked up in a blood test are being controlled by the contraceptive pill and i haven't had any since i started taking them.

you need to ask the doctors for all possible triggers for migraines and see what could be setting hers off. i know how much this must be annoying your wife and i hope she gets rid of them soon.

Well, the Bible says that it is wrong to withhold sex from one another except by mutual consent and for the purpose of prayer and fasting for a time. That goes for both man and woman. So it is sinful to withhold sex purposefully. However, there may be a physical illness or problem, that is understandable, I think the spouse should remain faithful despite the illness. If the person is just withholding on purpose, it is time for some marriage counseling. That is super important. Also, why is sex withheld? Is it because the spouse is cruel or makes abusive comments? Then, whose fault is that? Anyway, it is wrong to withhold, and it is wrong to be unfaithful. Two wrongs don't make a right. Get counseling, it is the best thing.

Does she stare at a computer screen in work? If she does, get her employer to fit a filter screen over the screen EVEN IF they say that the monitor already has a filter inside it.

Also, I take two Migraleve (pink) tablets when I feel one coming on and they clear it like magic within about 20-30 minutes.

Good luck!

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information
