Is the world being so perfectly placed in this universe a coincidence? How do you explain EVERYTHING on this earth being so perfectly made? And if what you believe is true, what does that make us? Relax Christian, you see atheists think that they have proof but in reality all they have is " theories"....theories are nothing more than guesses, hunches, excuses. Anyone who believes that everything was created by no one, with nothing, and for no purpose is deluded in their thinking. They don't like the idea that someday they will be held accountable by a just and HOLY GOD for the way they lived their life. So again just relax...

I don't look at something I don't understand and feel a compulsion to IMMEDIATELY come up with an explanation. I don't need a god of the gaps. Lack of an immediate mundane explanation does not indicate or necessitate a supernatural explanation.

Athiests, how can you believe that there is not a god? Because the "god concept" is logically impossible.

How can you look at this world, in it's perfection, and believe there is not a god? This world is far from perfect.

Is the world lying? No, you are.

Is it really probobal that the whole entire world has lied about experiencing devine encounters? The world isn't capable or lying or truthing. If you mean every religious adherent in the world, then no, I know that many truly BELIEVE that they have experienced "the divine". That doesn't make it any more realistic, though.

Is the world being so perfectly placed in this universe a coincidence? It isn't perfectly placed. Nothing is perfectly placed. We are all on a one way course to inevitable obliteration (though this won't take place during our lifetimes)

How do you explain EVERYTHING on this earth being so perfectly made? It wasn't. I can't explain something that isn't so.

And if what you believe is true, what does that make us? We're animals. You should already know that.

What's our purpose in life? There is no universal purpose. I can't tell you yours and you can't tell me mine.

We have nothing to live for. Our lives mean nothing. There's no reason to live. Man... you sound depressed. You might consider looking into therapy.

you have so much faith in what is so imposible. I could say the same thing to you. The difference is - I'd be right.

How can you believe there is no god? This has been addressed. See above answer.

Wow you just changed my whole life. In the 30 seconds it took me to read your questions I felt the hand of god come down and show me the error in my beliefs. It all seems surreal to me now, I truly was lost but now I am found. I was blind but now I see.
Wait wait never mind it was just gas....

I once made a perfect circle does that make me a god? was it a miracle? Did god guide my hand in creating that perfect circle?

Simply put, most Atheist's look at science, then they look at how that science contradicts the bible (or the current translations of the holy scriptures) and think....It's a relative new concept that the organized religions have tried to keep their congregations from doing, think for themselves and making decision on what they truly believe in. When I look to science I get more answers that make sense to me then I could from the bible. I also do not like the way most organized religion has a fear factor that they instill into the young. It is a technique used by cults and it is a form of brainwashing. Taking fiction and calling it fact on impressionable minds who will grow up in a system and not question it for the fear of upsetting the mighty god. Then they will live their life the way you want then to for fear of punishment. The you can tell the people that science is wrong other religions are wrong everyone is wrong except us.

Don't get me wrong I think the bible is a great collection of stories and they're great for the whole family, but am I going to base my life on it? No! I love Star Wars too but I'm not going to dress up like Luke and preach the Jedi code to anyone and demand that they take the writings of Timothy Zahn literally.

P.S. Spell check is your friend. How can you believe in something you can't spell.

In 2004, the day after the world celebrated the birthday of the tender baby Jesus, a tsunami struck the Indian Ocean killing an estimated 250,000 people.

One survivor, who for some unknown reason, decided to skip going to beach that day, survives and attributes his salvation to the divine intercession of God. Christians around the world marvel. "Have you read about the miracle?" they ask in joyous unison?

Even if God did exist, he wouldn't be deserving of your worship. Since the earth was "created" he has been a murderer and the father of murder. Just read the Old Testament.

Of course, I know that God doesn't exist, so there is no controversy for me. The tsunami was a natural disaster. People died at the same statistical rate whether they believed in God or not. But you, you have a lot of explaining to do... A God that would just sit by and watch such a disaster unfold deserves contempt, not worship.

Question one, How can you look at this world, in it's perfection, and believe there is not a god?

Answer: I see imperfection everyday, especially with humans. Disease, famine, mutations. Nothing perfect there. Did you know one of the reasons Pandas are going extinct is because their reproductive system is fuked up. Lots of imperfect things.

Question about miracles and people lying.

Answer: I don't think people are lying, I think they believe in what happened. Like the life after death people. I just think they don't know what is causing it. Sometimes I think they are attributing feelings to God that are really just self hypnosis. I personally have never seen any great miracles. Sorry, but virgin mary in a tortilla is not a miracle.

Question about our lives meaning nothing.

Answer: So what's your point? What if they do mean nothing? Why do we as a species have to have a purpose. I am sorry you feel that I should have nothing to live for. I do. I choose to live for many things. Whether or not I have some greater purpose, nah, i am not that egocentric.

the ordinary explanation is that the contradictions, hypocrisies, and inconsistencies in faith stacked as much as the factor the place i might now no longer assume the folk that were telling me study. If priests and the non secular won't be able to stay as much as the moralities that they are pushing, then why could I take transport of them at face fee? typical examination of the Bible shown obvious inconsistencies and biases (many the effect of repeated translations and ameliorations), which led me to reject the belief-approximately divine authorship. the undeniable fact that i'm a scientist did no longer promptly deliver approximately my installation an atheist, even nonetheless it definitely made it much less perplexing to take transport of. i visit look on the wonders of the international and clarify them with rather primary way, and those i won't be able to describe, i can look into (even nonetheless i do no longer in looking an answer interior my lifetime, there are nevertheless reward from the tactic of study itself). In different words, I take treatment in skills, somewhat than claiming that loss of understanding is skills (or that loss of understanding is a benefit). So, finally, I rejected my faith via fact i could no longer have faith human beings that had taught it to me interior the 1st area. I settled into atheism once you communicate that I felt no could provide an evidence for the international with the aid of a divine being or previous traditions - in different words, there became no "God formed hollow" in my existence. just to make clean, i'm now no longer claiming that everybody else is incorrect, or that I a approach or the different have "the respond". i do no longer. I additionally make no declare that my ideals are scientific, or that my function has been shown. those are easily my inner maximum ideals.

human are pattern -seeking animals. our brains are hard wired to seek and find patterns whether it is real or not, this is science not superstition. What miracles? Miracles are anomalies of science. I was a Christian for 15 yrs I studied and studied the Bible I went to a Christan university. I was a true believer. But I realized it was so full of holes that it couldn't be real. The bible is a collection of false, myths, oral traditions and local history. That is it.

I believe their is no God because their is no proof.

The fact that there is complexity and beauty in the earth does not mean that there is a god. Becouse you can not explain certain things at the moment is in no way a reason to atribute them to a god. I have lots of reasons to live and go on living and none of them point to a god. When I wake up in the morning and I play with my dog this makes me happy, When I listen to music or do just about anything that gives me pleasure then I have a reason to go on living. When I have a bad day I use reason and logic to clear up what ever it is that is causing my day to go badly and I keep on happly living. What confuses me is that there are so many people that have to base their lives on an unseen and problematic god to give them a reason to live and enjoy life. Religious belief and religious lifestyles are mired in misery and deciet, fear and anxiety and for the life of me I cant understand why anyone would choose that way of living at all. To answer another of your many questions rolled up into one, Yes you have been lied to about your god. you have been lied to and controlled by the group of people that you call your church, you have been lied to by your parents if they have taught you to have a "faith" in god, mabyee not by their direct choice but by the upbringing that they have recieved by a long line of false teachings. You can break the chain and not teach these lies to your children or anyone els. A world of freedom is waiting out there by just shedding these repressive and dangerous beliefs.

miricals, probobal, devine, ??? I don't have much faith in your spelling.

You are right, you have just disproved 200 years of scientific research. Let's just say god spoke , there was a "poof" and everything just appeared.
