It depends on the individuals involved. But I still for the life of me don't know how to compromise or agree on anything with someone who thinks the only possible motivation for being anti-illegal is racism. I think a reasonable solution to this problem could be reached as long as our part is not to give illegals everything they want just because they are human. The problem is that most illegals and pro-illegals don't want a solution that's fair to everyone, they just want what they want.

"No, I live in southern NM where the problem has become so bad that natives who are of Spanish and Indian descent will deck you for calling them Mexican. "
Northern native Americans have always thought they were better than the Mexican Indians. They are forgetting one huge item both got their a ss got whup by the white man that includes the spanish blood. If they want to keep loving the race that kicked their a ss, I would have to say you all have problem.Whether you like it or not Mexican Indians are native Americans. If you still think the Mexican border back then was the Rio Grande. You better go read a history book.
Chula & Daisey, you all can not be that naive. You all know very well why we become hostile. It has nothing to do with disagreeing at least most of the time.
Gee Gianna,i wish I could be perfect like you. Most of the intelligent white Americans are hardly ever posting. they usually post late at night. Maybe I should follow their rule and not respond to morons.

Sad as it is, it doesn't seem so.
Also, I think your sentence would make more sense if you said, "Do you think the anti's and the pro's can can disagree on anything without becoming hostile?"
I think we should all be able to agree to disagree, without becoming hostile.

The Antis aren't the problem. If the pro-illegal alien criminals can come to their senses and realize how wrong they are it will help. If they don't face reality they may become hostile. (personally I'd feel better if the pro-illegal alien criminals would stop claiming that the illegal alien criminals pay taxes. They don't.)
You see the protests on TV - it's the pro-illegal alien criminals that get out of hand as they demand for rights that the illegal alien criminals don't deserve.

Don't you mean disagree on anything? Most people can agree on anything without hostility! I'm only hostile when others try to force their will upon me. It's called self-defense, and I apply it evenly between liberals who believe they deserve my hard earned dollars for their socialist programs and the religious right who feel God didn't REALLY want us to have free will.

No, I live in southern NM where the problem has become so bad that natives who are of Spanish and Indian descent will deck you for calling them Mexican. Mexican is a nationality not a race.

Your mistaken passion for hostile
Just because they do not agree doesn't make them hostile just passionate for their views

Sure thing. Just not much on this topic, apparently. I think the sides have gone further apart, not closer together, but maybe that is just me.
