Well it really depends upon your wife's style. What type of colors does she prefer? Is she more earthy, browns and grays and dark greens, or more springy, with pastels and light flowers? Does she like gold or silver? Does she like the antique look or the bold modern look? Perhaps something with her birthstone in it, diamond, ruby, sapphire, whatever it may be.
I think Rolex is always a solid choice, I also think Citizen makes some very attractive ladies' watches as well and of course Cartier makes SUPERB watches ( you would definitely be on the upper end your price range there).
