Hi
I have been using bio-oil on my face twice per day for approx 1 month. I began using it because i had combination skin and could not find a skin care routine that was right for the many different parts of my face (I have tried many over the years from Clinique to Clearasil). My skin is now fantastic- i have less open pores, scars from spots have gone, even skin tone, no dry patches etc. I no longer use a moisturiser so I save money too. My make-up goes on like a dream now- no clinging to dry bits/spots (which i get v few of now)

Bio oil is different from other oils as it contains PurCellin, which is an oil the company have trademarked. this is a 'dry oil' that is easily absorbed and it acts for a carrier oil for vit A and vit E. this in combination with the lavender, Calendula and Rosemary oils in Bio oil help produce the healthy glow i now have. It is supposed to be super for sagging skin, skin spots, scars, stretch marks etc.

Hope this helps :0)

My sister had her thyroid gland remove on the neck and it left a horrible red scar.People used to make nasty comments about until she used the bio oil. It made a big differnce to it and even though she still has the scar, you don't know she has it, The one she used was like a thick padded gel which could be used over and over again

I've used it to fade a scar on my arm and it did help, but it has to be used regularly and over a long period - months. I found that it also faded sun spots.
It feels very greasy when first applied, but soon dries and disappears. It has no noticeable odour and doesn't mark clothing and one bottle lasts a long time as it can be used sparingly. If you are patient and don't expect overnight results, it is well worth the effort of using it daily.

I have to go against what Stacie said. I think Bio oil must be the wrong thing to put on her skin. I use it every now and then, I don't know what makes it different but I will always recommend it. Alas I think with people like me and Stacie it may be a question of trial and error. You may have skin like me or you may be like Stacie!!!!

I have very dry sensitive skin and thought it might help but I really didn't notice any improvement at all, so I gave up after a month and use sea buckthorn oil, which has worked wonderson my skin.

Different horses for different courses I guess :)

Ive used bio oil for a couple of years, and find it great. Its really versatile and can be used as a moisturiser,to heal and fade scar tissue and stretchmarks.I like to use it before i go to bed on my face.my skin feels great in the morning. Also use it on any areas where you have dry skin.A bottle lasts for ages too!

You mean biosilk? It is remarkable stuff. A small bottle will last you years. It's just one of those things you have to try for yourself. It smoothes the hair cuticle down so no frizzes and makes it really shinny. Plus it smells GREAT! No other hair oil will compare to it, I promise.

Oh Gosh, I was going to ask this question. Im a light skinned black woman but I have dark scars on my face (chickenpox scars, small scratches , etc) and I was wondering if it works. Ive been putting it on my face everynight for 2 weeks and I hope Im not wasting my time. Should I persist?

my boyfriends mum got it for me cos i was complaining that i have uneven skin tone. i thought it would be stupid to use on my skin cos i have quite oily skin but i gave it a whirl and it is really good stuff! lots of people have commented on how my skin looks loads better and has a nice glow to it now whereas it looked a bit dull before. as people have mentioned its great for dry patches of skin and if you use it on bare legs if you are going out it makes them look lovely and moisturised! i use it at night after ive taken my make up off. i would say its definately worth having a bottle kicking around the house!
