For the most part, a person doesn't become a Christian until later in life.

Not all mind you but for the most part.
As is written in Peter --I believe he is talking to the older. They have had time to participate.
1 Pet 4:3 For the time already past is sufficient for you to have carried out the desire of the Gentiles, having pursued a course of sensuality, lusts, drunkenness, carousals, drinking parties and abominable idolatries.

1 Pet 4:4 And in all this, they are surprised that you do not run with them into the same excess of dissipation, and they malign you;

I think that you are fortunate that you didn't have to go through it.
He calls whenever.
For me 38 years old.
I have met many others that were about the same age.

First of all, be proud that that God has raised up your step-father to be a pastor. This is a calling that comes straight from God!

While the number of teens who believe in God varies from church to church, I think there is a very good reason why the numbers are declining: we are unquestionably in the "end times" spoken of by Jesus and the prophets. Read Revelation 3:14-22, which describes the body of Christ in its last stage before the Rapture: this is called the "Age of Laodicea." Notice that the Church is described as having no need for Jesus -- in fact, He stands OUTSIDE knocking, begging to be let into His own Church. This is a time when people aren't concerned about the things of God, they're concerned about wealth, comfort and worldly things. It's no wonder that the Church is seeing declining attendance, which goes hand-in-hand with a lower number of teens than there used to be.

Jesus tells us that, when we begin to see the things He spoke about in the Olivet Discourse that we should "look up," because our redemption is drawing near. All these things must happen, but the good news is this: stay strong in your faith, sister, and He promises to give you a crown at His return.

"I am a cristian and when someone made fun of me i punched them"... does anyone else see something fundamentaly wrong with that answer?
- there are a lot of christian teens. I live in poland and I was at first shocked to discover how differently religion is treated in this part of the world. The sad truth is that north american society in a state of decline. there is loss of maral values confusion and insecurity. At some point having faith became a sign of weakness. And I say this as a non christian. I see christians around me all the time now and I admire their moral strengh something seriously lacking in the so call "developed west" ..
Keep your faith whatever it is and your family.. it seems to me those are the most importnat things in life

It's very rare to see religious teens, even in families where they were raised Christian. It's a big rebellion issue. Keep praying and keep planting those spiritual seeds in your friends, though, and don't lose faith!
I didn't really have a lot of Christian friends in high school, and got made fun of a lot for my involvement in church. Just keep praying that God grants you peace in times that you are persectued for your faith!
I chose a Christian college to go to, and it's a really great place where I feel very at home in a Christian atmosphere. In talking to them, I notice many people go through that same problem with having few Christian friends. My church is very small and didn't have a real youth group, so it wasn't an option to meet Christian friends in my church, either. Keep an ear open for Christian coffee houses (I know of two in my area, and I live in a pretty small place!) that might offer local music that is Christian on certain nights.
Another good option would be to talk to the few Christian friends you might have and see if they know of anything. Or check out your local Christian college and see if they have any upcoming events!

Good luck, and remember, pray! Anyone you talk to who isn't Christian, is someone who you may plant a seed in, and anyone you talk to who is Christian, may still be struggling. Pray for your friends and family, and pray God helps you through when you're being made fun of, to handle it in a calm manner.

God bless!

Most people your age are influenced more by the latest pop star than by Jesus—but of course that isn't the whole story.

After all, pop stars come and go, and what was popular last year is outdated this year. But Jesus never changes, and that's why it's far better to build our lives on Him instead of on the shifting sands of the latest fad. As the Bible says, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever" (Hebrews 13:8). And in my experience, many young people today are discovering this and committing their lives to Jesus. I have an Internet ministry in which I e-mail the Gospel to teens. I have hundreds of positive replies. Some teens have even come to Christ after getting the e-mail. 104 teens have requested and received the free, easy-to-understand teen study Bible that I offer at the end of the e-mail. My ministry is just one small way the Lord is working in your generation. There are many Jesus Freaks among you! :)

I hope you'll always stay focused on who Jesus really is. He is the Son of God, the One God sent from heaven to save us from our sins. No one else can do this for us; in fact, the latest pop craze is likely to turn us away from God, or even mock Him and His will for our lives. But when we know Christ, we know where we came from, and why we are here, and where we are going when we die. He also guides and helps us as we face life's decisions.

Pray for your friends and classmates, share your faith with them, and encourage them to commit their lives to Christ and learn to follow Him instead of the crowd. Jesus warned, "Wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it" (Matthew 7:13). May neither you nor your boyfriend make that mistake, but may you put your faith in Christ and learn to follow Him every day. God bless you for your commitment to Christ!

I think it is because some of us older people aren't getting the job done as we rear our children. We seem to be letting them go the way of the world instead of training them up in the way they should go, as the Lord tells us to in His Word. Homes where salvation and Christianity are taught are becoming harder to find and many souls are being lost to the evils of Satan. If a teenager doesn't get taught the importance of learning about God as a small child, then he won't see the need of doing so as he grows older. Be thankful for your Christian home and boyfriend. Morals are taught to you in your home that others apparently aren't getting taught. Watch how you live and act each day. Your life may be as close as some of the people who see you each day my come to knowing about the Bible.

I am not a youth pastor I am a youth leader at our church and Ill tell you they are out there. We have a very good congreation of teen Christians. When you are in your teens its very important to fit in some just dont let it be known to all thats all. I know you should not hide but unfortuneately they do at times. As they grow in God they will understand what they are doing is wrong and will delight in letting others know that have the truth living in them. Peace out...........

There are plenty of Christian teens out there, but to answer your question I think the reason many teens aren't Christians is because they don't care, or they're too afraid of what others will think of them. When they should be worried of what God thinks.

I am a teen and a Christian and proud of it! I think it's just because 1. a lot of adults also are not christians so if they dont live in a christian environment, they aren't going to just become one. 2. They are "too cool" and its "too much work and rules" to be one.
