I am in high school and my girlfriend and I are really happy together. However, her really close friend will not stand us doing anything together; we cannot kiss, hug, or even hold hands. For some reason, she feels resentment towards me. This girl also treats my girlfriend like a little pet, and my girlfriend justs lets her do it. Are there any suggestions on what either my girlfriend or I can do to improve the situation?

Time for a heart to heart with her friend really. You guys are youngins so don't expect to break into her true feelings about you. Chances are is that your getting in on her and your girlfriends time together bring up some jealousy. If not that she might resent males and male based relationships. The fact that your not close enough to her friend to know one way or another shows a problem to. Now could be that your girlfriend might need a new friend she seems like the insecure type, which we all are in one way or another. Keep in mind that we live in a society that makes us all have to deal with certian abandonment issues because outside or own blood no relationships are thought of as being forever or finete' so everyones worried that everyone we love outside are families can just drop their ****'s and leave them. When in fact the human heart is the worse thing at letting things go. Let her know if you truly love her that your her for a long haul, your her to find away to be there for her not just thru this school year but until you guys can develop a relationship thats benefital to you both that can hopfully last forever. Kinda like family! Only differences is that this well mean more because you guys had a choose and choice to stick it out. Don't let terms like friends and lovers get in the way of making something that can last forever and let them both know that you'll do the best you can to be the best person you are and hopfully thru time, trust and plain history things well work itself out and you'll all be better people for it. Of course its never that easy but it something you try for everyday. Good Luck
