Why do Christians put their faith in the words of MEN (bible) and reject the word of GOD (science)?

Men wrote the bible and claimed they were inspired, if you hold that BOOK WRITTEN BY PEOPLE as the word of a god, you are putting your faith in the MEN WHO WROTE IT.

If you believe a god created the universe, then you also must believe that same god set up the "laws" of physics. Understanding and learning about HIS creation would be the ULTIMATE way to know god, since science cannot be ADULTERATED like the bible was (You know, when they voted on what books would be in it)

OF course, there is no god, but if there was a god, it would only be known through SCIENCE.

If you TRULY worship the creator of the universe you'd agree with me, and at least take this INTELLECTUALLY HONEST position that I put forth.... if you disagree you're either A) too stupid to understand, or B) lying to yourself.

But let me answer your Question...
The Christian Religion was developed by One Emperor Constantine of the Eastern Roman Empire, Who called himself Christian Though most likely he was just a Christian in Name, The old Roman Gods were falling and the Christians Were the future.
Anyway, this is not a History lesson...
The Doctrine was Established when they, that is a bunch of Political Leaders, Selected the Books that were to be Placed in the Bible. Books that kept their Ideals that would Keep them in power and allow them to apply Power to others in a "God Sanctioned" way.
Since then the Bible has been Translated Millions of times, revised hundreds of times, and lost repeatedly throughout history. Truly, Can we trust Man's Literary Genus? The Organized Religions Say we should...
In fact, Revelations states that all who Take Away or Add to this Text shall Perish in fire for all eternity.
Finally, The Bible is A Historical Text, the Old Testament was not made to Teach about religion, but to tell history, as was the New Testament when it was first written, it was made into a Religious Instruction by the early church founders, (Constantine and Friends.) Lastly, Can we really Trust 2000 years of Man's intervention to bring us the Words of God? I won't even get started on the Symbolism in the Bible, Just to say... Do not take a Word in the bible to its own meaning; it’s a Symbol for something else.

I agree completey with you. I think now that mankind has reached the stage that we have, the scientists are beginning to realise that "matter" is not really matter at all, (quantum physics).
In order for such a complex creation to have taken place, there must be have been intelligent design. Maybe this could be a trueer interpretation of "revelation", God's creation revealed to us through the medium of science. Lets face it, it's only recently, that we have been able to probe our planet and universe, and understand it's workings.
You are correct when you say"putting your faith in the men that wrote it " We all know that men are prone to lying,decieving and concealing the truth for thier own ends.

Science that cannot be ADULTERATED like:

1. Archaeoraptor; the missing link between dinosaurs which was found to be fake.

2. Haeckel's Embryos; Faked photos of embryonic stages used to support evolution for over a hundred years.

4. Nebraska man: A single tooth, discovered in Nebraska in 1922 grew an entire evolutionary link between man and monkey, until another identical tooth was found which was protruding from the jawbone of a wild pig.

5. Orce man: Found in the southern Spanish town of Orce in 1982, and hailed as the oldest fossilized human remains ever found in Europe. One year later officials admitted the skull fragment was not human but probably came from a 4 month old donkey. Scientists had said the skull belonged to a 17 year old man who lived 900,000 to 1.6 million years ago, and even had very detail drawings done to represent what he would have looked like.

The only evidence cited in evolutionist sources is the 1953 Miller Experiment. Yet no living cell was created in this experiment, just a few amino-acids were synthesised. It is mathematically impossible for amino-acids to form strings in the right sequence by chance and make proteins, and for these to give rise to a cell. Miller's synthesised amino-acids are of no significance, since his experiment used gasses which were not present in the primitive atmosphere on earth.

7. THE LIE THAT "LIVING THINGS POSSESS VESTIGAL ORGANS"
For a long time now it has been maintained in evolutionist sources that some organs in living things serve no function, and that these are evolutionary blind spots inherited from the evolutionary ancestors of the creatures in question. For instance, the human appendix and coccyx were for long years regarded as such vestigal organs. Yet the latest scientific findings have revealed that all these organs do actually have important functions. The "list of vestigal organs" drawn up by evolutionists at the beginning of the 20th century is now without foundation.

First you say that there is no god, then you say if we truly worship the creator, we would agree with you. Which is it?

Because the Bible was written by God THROUGH man. When they voted on it at the council of Nicea they had strict reasoning for anything that would be allowed to be entered into the Bible like being a witness of the event you were writing about or one of the 12 apostles of Christ.Yes God is scientist, but there are Christians in science i.e. Intelligent design.

True, men wrote the Bible but by the nature of prophetic fulfillment which is impossible for man it shows that mere men alone did not write the bible.

The Bible in Romans says " the things of nature reveal a Divine being" but knowing ABOUT a "Divine being" and knowing THE Divine being are two different items altogether

Because some scrolls were rejected as being false is a FAR cry from adulterating the Text Your toooo melodramatic!

The bible was written by men hand picked by God who breathed His words to them. The Bible is God's truth, not mans. As we have seen for years science can be corrupted just as people corrupt the Word of God

Slam...(Christian here) - very, very interesting question. I am not a fundamentalist Christian and very much believe in science and the connection of God and science. Thank you for helping me to see an area I can meditate over. Sometimes, the trees get in the way and someone comes along that gives us a new direction to look in.

No one will be Innocent, Because of all of this Complicated Stuff that works so Simple.
Trees, Animals, Oceans, Mountains, Plants, Insects---no one will be able to Stand Behind IT JUST HAPPENED.
And the Bible Does Contain INSPIRED WORDs of GOD. There are some mis-translations though.

Amen Brother! Did you read the book from this Catholic Priest whom specifically stated that the 4 gospels were chosen and the others were left out? Where are all those gospels which were left out? The book I read came out right after the Da vinci code book did.
