i caught my x of a few years cheating so i left him,a year ago i ran into a freind of his and we instantly clicked,he ended up driving me home that night and staying w/me,nothing more than him holding me till i slept.I saw him a couple months after and he said i was'killing him',my x was also there and freaking out that we liked eachother.I saw him again 6 months later at a party and we pretty much avoided eachother because my x was there again(my x and i have the same freinds and he is bestfriends w/my brother)so now a year later i finally call this guy and tell him straight up that he is'eating me alive',he said feelings were mutual and he had no idea thats how i felt,but he has been seeing someone for a month now,so i told him to tell me to let it go and he said he cant,what is going on?

He's being straight with you by telling you that he's seeing someone else. That's all that matters. Don't put him on the spot and make him tell you to let it go. Tell yourself. Right now is not the time for you and him to hook up, if ever. Wish him well and move on. If he ever really wants to be with you, he'll make sure you know it and he will make sure he does his part to make it happen if the feeling is still mutual between you.

you two like each other........and are letting the fact you have the same friends get in the way of your feelings......to love and lost.......and not pursue is losing yourself......unless that person does not want to be with you.........but in this case, he does.........all you can do is be his friend until he breaks it off with this other girl...and no, do not speed up their break up...he kinda likes her...so it is his decision not yours......
