Dagon of course, but I doubt he had any influence on the word dragon, being as it was in a completely different part of the world and the tritonesque deity doesn't resemble the reptilian monsters much at all

I don't know which "dragon" or which "dagon" you're referring to, but I'll take a stab, assuming you mean the Philistine "dagon" and dragon as a generality.

The "dragon" is obviously an older concept, though referred to in other terms. Dagon of the Philistines can only be traced as far back as the Iron Age.

Well, I am going to answer this from a Biblical point of view.
According to the Bible the Dragon is Satan, the deceiver and Dagon was the primary god of the Phillistines. Since Satan is older, I would say he came first.
