even though i know that not all Christians are bad, i still don't understand how people can love God so much, but then after sunday school its like they take off their "good people" costumes and turn into something terrible. what would happen if a Jesus comes back and sees a Christian partying w/ beer and crack and stuff?

First off, you do realize that you are generalizing. Not every Christian does this.

Consider this, how many things do you do in the time when you think you do not have to impress someone? Do you act differently around your parents as opposed to your friends? What about the way you act around someone you want to date as opposed to someone you just want to be friends with? We all act differently around other people. We are more open with people that we think will not judge us and love us no matter what.

Now, knowing that in your mind, also, remember this. Just because someone goes to church, does that really mean they are a Chrisitan? Or, does it just mean they are going to church? I dated a man for 4 years. He and I went to church today. However, he was NOT a Christian. He just went to church with me to impress me. Some people do it because they do it out of duty, then their true nature is shown in the rest of the week.

The other thing is that anyone that truly claims to be a Christian but isn't acting like it, really does have some problems inside and they are hurting more than you realize it. They are acting out and crying out for help hoping that someone well stop by and say, "Hey, what's wrong?" The next time you see someone do that, maybe you should step up and be that person that cares enough to listen to them.

Friend, I hate to tell you, These are not True Christians, they are make believers, If I can not live my Christian life outside of church as I do in church, something is wrong. I have always said, I am the only bible some people reads. I just retire & many sinners I worked with was my friends, I never one time push my faith down anyones throat, On my last day I worked I had many thanking me for living a Christian life before them because they have seen so many so call Christians that is causing a bad report in this world, I have always said, If i can not live it outside of church as I do in Church, something is wrong.

They're not real Christians. Christianity lays out very specific guidelines on what you have to do (OMG, surely works have nothing to do with salvation, otherwise I couldn't be a complete anus all the time and just ask for forgiveness at the end of the day...) and belive and if these guidelines are not followed, then you're not a Christian. In revelations, it states that only 144,000 will be raptured in the end times. Out of the billions of humans on Earth, that would kind of show the terribly small percentage of actual Christians on Earth, rather than your average "I'm leader of the prayer group, but I don't know anything about any other religion *or my own, infact*, and I consistently make fun of others and make ****** jokes like their edgy.

I think it's similar to what happens to people who say they would never treat their kids like their parents treated them, but end up doing so anyway -- it's because it's a role or habit that worked, and when one has to make it through a tough or difficult time, one may go with what works even if it's not something good.

It's hard to change habits, even if there are better rewards, because it can be seen as more work added onto everything one has to do already. Also perhaps people feel they have to change everything at once, but they don't -- a little at a time works.

Maybe some of these are not Christians, they just go to church. Christians are at different levels of faith and a new Christian may do some things a more mature doesn't do. Then there are those who have neglected bible reading and prayer and have given over to their own will, instead of the will of God.

If someone is,"partying with beer and crack and stuff" they are not Saved. They might be cultural christians but nor Borne Again Christians.

what would happen to them? they will stay. easy! and why they take off "their christian costume"...actually they dont take their costume off..they never had it, they just go to church as an obligation or bcuz they are used to it, bcuz if they really take their religion seriously they will be the same whatever they are in the inside church as what they are outside.

Yes, a lot of Chrstians I've met seem to feel that if they simply attend services and believe, its a sure ticket to Heaven for them. I know some who lead miserable lifes full of illegal activity. Looord have Mercy.

Churchianity is a heathen religion. It is not following the Savior YAHOSHUA. The only hope of a person being righteous in this life, or saved in the next, comes from HIM!
