My fiance and I are attending our first bridal show today and we have no clue what to wear! What is the general dress code for these things? We'd hate to show up underdressed OR overdressed...Please help??

You do not have to dress formal for a bridal show. I would recommend you dress casual or as you normally would. Just be sure to wear shoes you feel comfortable with walking in. And definately bring your fiance. It's good to have him involved. Plus he will got tons of attention since not a lot of guys go. My fiance had a ball; he felt very special.

I went to a bridal show today and one a few weeks ago - you really don't need to dress up. I tried to look nice though...I wore khakis and a nice shirt to one and today I wore nice jeans and a shirt, but nobody was dressed up at either one. On the thing we got in the mail advertising the show it specifically said "dress casual." Most likely you will just be walking around visiting different tables, and you could sit down to hear band/dj samples or see some tuxes and gowns, but it's not fancy. Wear comfortable shoes since you'll probably be on your feet for a couple hours (or more!). They are fun though and I would suggest bringing a comfortable canvas bag or tote to carry information that everyone gives you, and if you have them also bring address labels so you don't have to fill out your address a million times for all the vendors. Have fun!

Dress comfortably as you will be doing a lot of walking around. Usually these are informal affairs. Its just a place where you can get a lot of information on vendors and ideas for your wedding. I live in Houston and we went to one in Sept. 05. Its warm here in September and I think I we both wore shorts. Definatley wear comfortable walking shoes. If shorts don't quite work for you, then jeans will be fine. Doubtful it would be much more formal than that.

Wear something comfortable that you don't mind walking around in.

I wore a T-shirt and nice blue jeans. Pretty casual.

Oh, advice... bring a backpack! the bags they give you are pretty much crap and with all the vendors there having something for you, a backpack will be so worth it!

And, make up labels with your names, the date and place of the wedding (if you know it) and your address. That will help your writing hands and anyone coming with you!

be comfortable because you will do alot of walking. When I attended these shows, I would wear my track suite and running shoes....by the end of it I was exhausted!!!

Are you sure you want to bring your guy with you? The reason I ask is when I use to go to these shows the men look so bored and awkward....

Just dress casually. Wear comfortable shoes because you will be doing alot of walking. Have some breath mints too because you will also be doing alot of talking.

Have fun!

bridal shows aren't that formal. i would wear nice jeans, or nice dressy pants, with a cute top and heels of course.
