i`m 16 and he`s 14...he was going to ask me out a couple of months ago but never did [i guess he chickened out?]

Yeah, but only if he is attracted to you. Serious it has nothing to do with age. I'm 27 and if a hot 45 year old asked me out I would say yes, but if a disheveled 25 year old tried to hook up with me I would say no. It's that simple. Age is not a factor unless an adult is trying to get with a minor.

Not a good idea at this age, sorry. You just don't have a whole lot in common and your peers might not see this as cute. Stick with someone your own age, friendship is okay but anything more and it's just odd.
