The Bible, in Genesis, in chapters one and two, provides God's blueprint for marriage and for His good gift of sex. The gift is only to be enjoyed within a marriage between a man and a woman. There are no exceptions suggested, such as homosexual partnerships. From Genesis on, the Bible praises the marriage of a man and a woman, but it speaks only negatively of homosexual behavior whenever it is mentioned.

The Old Testament states, "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable" (Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13). The New Testament agrees, listing "homosexual offenders" among a list of people who "will not inherit the kingdom of God" unless they are cleansed through Christ (1 Corinthians 6:9-11). Other passages are Genesis, chapter 19; Romans 1:18-32; 1 Timothy 1:8-11; Jude, verse 7. However, it is important to note that the Bible speaks only of homosexual behavior (which would include lust—choosing to fantasize about behavior), not unchosen feelings. God will not judge a Christian guilty for his or her involuntary feelings.

Sometimes it is said that the Bible does not record any words of Jesus about homosexuality, and therefore it must be acceptable to God. However, the Bible does not record sayings of Jesus about a number of other specific sins either. When people asked Jesus about marriage, He told them to remember what Genesis said about God's plan for marriage (Matthew 19:1-12). So, in this sense, Jesus did have something to say about homosexual partnerships. If people had asked Him, He would have told them to remember what God said about marriage in Genesis. God only blessed sex within the committed marriage relationship of a man and a woman.

Some have tried to reinterpret what the Bible says, in an effort to approve homosexual relationships. For a reply to such efforts, read "Straight and Narrow" by Thomas Schmidt or "A Strong Delusion" by Joe Dallas. The Bible and maximum religions do not certainly condemn homosexuals--they condemn gay practice and the those that recommend this custom as time-honored and proper. a number of the those that fall interior the class of gay-practices-recommend get so disenchanted with the Biblical place in this subject they hotel to calling anybody who thinks that the anus isn't a desirable place for a penis a homophobe and sell the theory that homosexuals (meaning those that are tempted to accomplish gay acts) are hated by skill of God. whilst precisely the choice is actual.

I hope you're not judging God. Our imperfection doesn't let us see what is right and what is wrong, so, we should base on God's words and thinking.
Most of the answers above me are abominations.

Our Creator Sets the Standard

Our Creator established rules governing marriage long before governments began regulating the institution. The opening book of the Bible tells us: “A man will leave his father and his mother and he must stick to his wife and they must become one flesh.” (Genesis 2:24) The Hebrew word “wife,” according to Vine’s Expository Dictionary of Biblical Words, “connotes one who is a female human being.” Jesus confirmed that those yoked together in marriage should be “male and female.”—Matthew 19:4.

Thus, God intended marriage to be a permanent and an intimate bond between a man and a woman. Men and women are designed to complement each other so they may be capable of satisfying each other’s emotional, spiritual, and sexual needs and desires.

The well-known Biblical account of Sodom and Gomorrah reveals God’s feelings about homosexuality. God declared: “The cry of complaint about Sodom and Gomorrah, yes, it is loud, and their sin, yes, it is very heavy.” (Genesis 18:20) The extent of their sinful depravity at that time was apparent when two guests visited the righteous man Lot. “The men of Sodom . . . surrounded the house, from boy to old man, all the people in one mob. And they kept calling out to Lot and saying to him: ‘Where are the men who came in to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may have intercourse with them.’” (Genesis 19:4, 5) The Bible says: “The men of Sodom were bad and were gross sinners against Jehovah.”—Genesis 13:13.

The men became “violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males.” (Romans 1:27) They had “gone out after flesh for unnatural use.” (Jude 7) In countries where homosexual rights campaigns are pervasive, some may object to using the word “unnatural” to describe homosexual behavior. However, is not God the final arbiter when it comes to nature? He commanded his ancient people: “You must not lie down with a male the same as you lie down with a woman. It is a detestable thing.”— Leviticus 18:22.

Your Accountability to God

The Bible is clear: God does not approve of or condone homosexual practices. He also disapproves of people who “consent with those practicing them.” (Romans 1:32) And “marriage” cannot give homosexuality a cloak of respectability. God’s direction that “marriage be honorable among all” precludes homosexual unions, which he considers DETESTABLE.—Hebrews 13:4.

Still, with God’s help, anyone can learn to “abstain from fornication,” which includes homosexual acts, and “get possession of his own vessel in sanctification and honor.”(1 Thessalonians 4:3, 4)

It's just "pretend" condemnation. If God's preachers can be gay, such as this anti-gay Southern Baptist preacher who tried to hire an undercover police officer for sex, then I can't see how God would take it too seriously. Surely the minister knows best, right?

God condemns the sin. He tells us that all sinners will end up in the Lake of Fire. He loves the sinner and provides a way out for us. It's in Acts 2:38 this will be for forgiveness, and the Holy Ghost is to change our sinful natures.

God only condemns unrepentant sinners. He does not hate the person, he hates the sin. If they were to repent of their sins, God would forgive them and they would enjoy fellowship with Him. That applies to ALL sinners though, not just homosexuals. It has nothing to do with STD's. Hetros get them too.

God is actually in the business of offering healing and salvation to homosexuals, adulterers and all other sinners. That was the whole reason behind that business with the messiah and the cross and all that.

You get to decide what kind of person you want to be. Do you want to emphasize the bad or the good? What you choose has no effect on God, but it does have one on you.

Grow up.

SOMEONE HAS JUST told me that this is a joke. Apparantly it is a very funny pun on the word "condom"

I really can't wait for the long winter evenings to return so that I can chuckle over this when there is nothing else to do

There is no god to condemn homosexuals. The only people who do are the fundies, who just live on hatred and bigotry.

Atheism. You know it makes sense.
