The Carbon-15 units from BushMaster are manufactured of a carbon fiber composite material instead of aluminum, and will directly interchange with the same AR-15 component, hence its' name. I have no personal experience with them, as I prefer a REAL rifle (FN/FAL, H-K G-3) over the "poodle shooter", but the Carbon-15 parts are touted to be stronger, lighter, and more durable than their aluminum counterparts.
There are several other manufacturers of the AR-15 components you seek, including Alexander Arms, DPMS, and Olympic, as well as BushMaster.
Your best bet for a quick look-see, as well as probably best prices, go to http://www.midwayusa.com , and just follow their site search software links, as Midway carries all these makers and models.

Bound's hubby here:
Like grizzly, I too like a real rifle (M1s, M14s, and Remington 700s) but I shoot an AR in competition because I shoot it well and I can be competitive with it. When you are competing against 1000 other people who are shooting "recoiless" rifles, you would be a fool to shoot a recoiling cannon and still expect to be competitive.
The Carbon 15 and AR15 are identical with respect to dimensions, but the material it is made from is different. The AR is made from Aluminum (forged or cast) while the Carbon 15 is made from Carbon Fiber.
A leader in "conversion units" is the Arthur Ceiner company. I have two Bushmaster AR15 lowers I am building rifles off of, and they have been easy to work with. Considering cost, I think the aluminum recivers will probably be the least expensive!
Good luck with your project!

cost, and effective aspects. In all honesty, in case you want a dirt cover, ahead help, and quad rail, i'd be shocked. And the S&W M&P interest is an astounding rifle without all that. you could continually regulate it later, too. As for why the DPMS Oracle is more affordable than the M&P interest, it really is because S&W prices extra for his or her rifles. for sure, from what i have been advised, the S&W ARs are slightly extra appropriate high quality than the Oracles, notwithstanding the adaptation is in simple terms no longer that significant.

Look up pictures on it and some sites call it a "pistol". Even though I do not know why.
