When you have an argument with your S.O. but everything is solved and everything is fine afterwards, do you still think about it?

I was in an argument with my boyfriend lastnight. But it's solved and we're not fighting anymore.

I could hardly sleep lastnight though because I kept replaying the whole thing over and over in my head. And I still am. I hate that I do that.

Do you girls do this too? And do you guys do this? Or do you guys forget about it and act like it never happened?

I do the exact same thing! Even though it's over, it still bothers me for some reason or another...even into the next few days I think about it...but i have no clue why.

Hello Irene,
Psychologists tell us that when a bad situation is truly settled, you
will easily move forward in life-having learned your lessons. But
if you replay the bad scene over and over, there are still some
unanswered questions in your mind--or, there are some things
you wanted to say but didn't get the chance! So, the argument
may be over, but the bad scene isn't settled. Evaluate all your
feelings (especially your fears) about this incident and try to find
the missing element that will bring closure for you. Calmly talk to
your S.O., explaining your feelings as clearly as you can. The bad scene started with two of you, it has to end with two also.

Sounds like a scene out of a soap opera. lol You know the part where you see a scene played over again.

Yes I find that when ever there is conflict it doesn't play over again. It's hard to to forget things like that especially when you get upset by someone.

The person doesn't even have to be your boyfriend either. It sounds like you have conscience and that's a good thing. Some people don't even have that.

Sometimes you have to take time out from it and think about what happened before you can begin to deal with it.

Apparently you're not over it. If it was over, then it would be forgotton about and forgiven. Just think to yourself, is it worth it to dwell on it?
