YES. When you are sponsored, the company will expect you to be a good spokesman and salesman for their business. The better you are at speaking to reps and the media, will bring you more opportunities to ride for a top name. Remember, you will have to sell yourself as much as be a good rider to get a good sponsorship deal, and when you stop riding you could use that education to land a position with the company. Some sponsors may require you to keep a certain grade point average.
I was in high school when i was sponsored by a BMX racing team.
The key is you have to be good, REAL GOOD.

I don't think so, cuz being a BMX rider....well it doesn't have much to do with school, so i don't think you would need good grades for being one

im in home school going for my GED its not the same as a regular GED and im not finishing high school the only thing that sponsers go on is tallent and atitude mostly tallent but if your thinking about droping out its going to make you feel bad for the rest of your life. make time for work and bmxing also try to practice alot during school breaks
