Boys start later than girls. Girls can start as young as 9 or 10, and boys have usually started by 12 or 13... but everyone is different, and everyone goes through puberty differently. There are such a thing as early maturers, and late maturers (but there is nothing wrong with them). Puberty is generally an ongoing process that can last as long as a decade. Puberty is usually said to end when a person is able to reproduce, but there are some subtle changes that continue after that point.

Hello

The age at which puberty starts varies from person to person but on average it begins between 8-13 in girls and 10-15 in boys. However, there is enormous variation for this, dependent on many things, such as heredity, nutrition and individual variation.

This can vary. Some people go thru it between 11-16 others may go thru it later. My son is just entering it at 15, while my daughter entered puberty at 11.

Although most girls go thru it earlier than boys, not everyone is identical and can go thru it earlier or later. I was 14 before I went thru it, so it doesn't suprise me how late my son is going thru it.

So I guess I would make a wide range to be safe and say you can go thru it anytime between 10 and 17. Most people are thru it by the time they reach 17.

You go through puberty when your body starts to develop into adult parts. This mostly happens when you are a teenager but it can happen earlier.

You go through puberty during your pre-teen and teen years. (Between age 9 to about age 15.)
