When I drink decaf coffee I will have an upset stomach with cramping and everything. Please help! I'm looking for the ingredient in coffee that does this because I only drink decaf and so it isn't the caffeine that does this to me.

Your problem isn't the caffiene; it's the acid that's giving you the upset stomach! There are a lot of decaf coffees but very few of them have been acid neutralized. Potassium Hydroxide is added to the ground beans to neutralize the natural acid of the beans but it won't alter the flavor a bit!
My dad, who is trying to cut down on the acid in his diet, drinks this all the time! http://www.kavacoffee.com/ (sold at Wal Mart)

This book is probably the most informative and practical guide on the subject of acid reflux and heartburn that I have ever read https://tr.im/Qj9dQ
I was prescribed Lansoprazole which was brilliant but after two years of aching joints, extreme muscle pain which the doc gave me cortisone jags for, with some research I discovered the drug Lansoprazole was causing these rare side effects but it was I who diagnosed it NOT my doctor, I came off the drug 2 months ago, changed my diet and discovered just eating an apple stops any acid reflux, I eat an apple before bed, brilliant no acid, any time I feel the slightest sign of reflux I simply eat an apple. Apple juice is not that good nor is anything else I have tried including honey at stopping reflux.

Its not the caffeine its the strenght of the blend - try a weaker blend - most kinds of coffee rate the strenght of the coffee on the outside.
Breakfast blends (thats what they call them on the label) are usually very mild and meant to be kinder on the stomach, also try kinds labeled "smooth" - they can be stronger then the breakfast blends - more of a mild-medium. I cannot tolerate any dark roasts and you might be having the same issue.

De-caffeinated coffee does away with the caffeine, but it still contains acids that can increase stomach acid production that can irritate your digestive track.
