Well, they suggest, when you get another keet, have another cage. Keep them seperated for a day or two. After a while, put their cages next to eachother, so they can get used to their new surroundings and new partner. After that, one of them will go to the other one. It might take more time if the origional feels his space is being invaded, but they both will choose a cage. They should get along fine. There will be minor pecks here or there, but that is normal. You will know if they like eachother by them cleaning eachother, preening eachother, and if one leaves the room, the other will think its 'lost' and start chirping, to find it. I highly doubt they will kill eachother, as long as you give them time to adjust to one another.

Like she said, most websites well tell u t get a new cage and put them next to each other. I would do this only if the original bird has been there longer than about a half a month. If the original bird was barey purchased I think its pretty safe to just put the new bird down with it.

as far as fighting, all animals will fight when u first put them together. they need to show who is boss. and of course they have to fight over it. food, water, perches, toys, they will fight over them and it is probably a good idea to put one of everything at different ends of your cage. also, if it is at all possible, have two cages beside each other, with one bird in each cage for the first day. then, take the new one out of the cage and hold it , put it on the floor, sofa, what ever, and let him run around a bit. then take the old one out and let them get used to each other before you put them in a cage together. for about like 15 min. this way there will be much less competition for toys and things like that. it doesn't matter if you get a male or female, as male/female, male/male, and female/female will all fight for top dog. or should i say, top bird. good luck!
