I think that you need to start small and build up to the Wal-marts of the world!
Get you product up and running first. Prove that you can be profitable and people actually want the item.
Ensure that you can ramp up to Wal-mart production levels and still make a profit -they will probably find you by then.

If you wanna deal with Wal-Mart, you better hope that you can sell a lot of them. Because Wal-Mart won't buy from you unless you're making almost nothing on the deal.

First, outsource all R&D, production and packaging to China. Hire nothing but children as factory employees, work them to death and cheat them out of pay as often as possible. Set up a transportation system that ships in bulk and cheats freighters out of decent compensation.
Then call on Walmart buyers with suitcases full of cash "incentives." You might get a foot or two of shelf space in the back corner.
