I have used several types in both my G-17 and G-21, both factory and reloads, with no malfunctions.
This includes Glaser, Mag-Safe, Hydra-Shok, Hornady XTP's, and CCI/Speer Golden Saber; the latter two in factory and reloaded ammo, both. My favorite hand-loads utilize the Sierra JHC(Jacketed Hollow Cavity) design bullets, which I have used in both Glocks, as well as my regular carry weapon, a H-K USP .45 ACP, as well as my revolvers, including the S&W M-29 .44 Rem. Magnum.

Yes. I have 3 Glocks, a 20, a 23, and a 29. I have used hollow points in all of them. You can use reloads in Glocks if you know what you are doing. I have shot several thousand reloads in my Glocks and have no problems with them. The 10mm Glock in my pocket now has my reloads in it. They are 190 grain Sierra FPJ bullets in Federal cases with 12 grains of Accurate #7 powder and Remington 2 1/2 primers. In my Glock model 20 they get 1200 feet per second according to my chronograph.
Glocks are the most dependable semiautomatic pistol ever designed and function well with hollow points.

Bound's hubby here:
You SHOULD be able to shoot hollow points in a Glock. However, with any handgun, you need to make certain your handgun will feed hollowpoints reliably before you depend on the handgun for self-defense. The only way to ensure a handgun wil reliably feed hollowpoints is to fire a few hundred rounds of your preferred ammunition through your handgun. IF your handgun even has a single failure to feed jam, you need to investigate why it happened before you depend on that handgun and ammunition combination for self defense ... your life could depend on it.
If your handgun has failures to feed, the most common flaw is the feed ramp, it may need to be polished or throated. This should not be a severe task for a competent Glock armorer or gunsmith.
Good luck!

The Glocks use a polygonal barrel, so be sure that ther are jacketed hollow points, not lead.I have not tried lead bullets , but it has been said they lead up the barrel badly.

Some early auto-loaders would not feed anything but ball ammunition. This is not the case with the Glock. Glock is a modern auto-loader designed to feed truncated nose bullets. It feeds ball ammo, hollow-point ammo and flat-nosed ammo just fine.

Yes. The only requirements is that you not use lead bullets which are uncoated because of the Glock chamber and barrel. You can use uncoated lead with a barrel swap to an non-factory barrel. You should be able to use any factory loaded hollow-point if it is coated. I shoot Federal Hyrdoshok in my Glock model 23.

You can use anything as long as it's the correct caliber, 17 & 19=9mm, 23 & 22= 40S&W, etc. BUT NO RELOADS!
