I have actually been to a glass bathroom and it's gorgeous! Yes, it's ALL glass - from floor to walls to ceiling - and the commode and the sink too; including the accessories (wastebasket, soap dispenser, paper holder, etc.). Your contractor/decorator should be able to suggest where you can get the fixtures and all that). It's a guest bathroom really so there's no shower provision.
If it is your cup of tea, go for it. Trust me, your guests will be raving about it - for years and years.
But your question presupposes that it is a bad idea - so it's your call, man!

It probably doesn't get sent through the dishwasher very often. If more than one person uses the bathroom, you really should have individual glasses, but probably don't. Plus, the bathroom is a germy place to begin with and germs are settling on that glass as we speak. And yet, that's the place where many of us take our medications, vitamins, etc. (Ugh, I'm putting my bathroom glass in the dishwasher this instant!)

Glass looks beautiful but hurts when it´s broken and you cut yourself. Who hasn´t dropped a glass in the bathroom and then spent hours trying to find all the broken pieces. Glass is impractical...

#1 = very hard to clean
Where would you ever find glass fixtures (toilet, sink, etc?) I know that a glass shower door is horrible to clean. I took mine out and replaced with a plastic curtain. Cheaper & easy to change, also can be spray-cleaned or tossed in the washer.
