Yeah.. I managed to inject myself with painkiller meant for my kittens.. don't ask how it happened- i'm a flid.
but basically i'm sure no pain killer for cats would be toxic for humans or anything but just wanted to check.. Anyone have such knowledge? It doesn't say what type it is but if anyone knows the generally prescribed one or something? any advice?

i did this by mistake.. otherwise i wouldn't be asking for advice would i?! I would have checked it out first..
So cheers for your comments but no NOT A DRUGGY! I wouldn't deny my kitten a pain killer for a kick even if i was into that stuff.. just clumsy and wasn't paying attention (yes i understand this in itself is ridiculous)

Why are you giving your kittens an injectable analgesic? And how can it not say what it is? If it is a prescription medication that was prescribed by your veterinarian, it should have the appropriate label with all the information you need, and if not, call the vet or an emergency clinic for more information. If it wasn't prescribed by the vet, then you shouldn't be self-medicating your animals!
Regardless, it shouldn't harm you at all. I don't see why you would have been given a potent opioid for a kitten, so whatever they gave you should be pretty safe even for you. From now on, leave the injectable medication to the veterinarian!
p.s. As a veterinary technician, I've certainly gotten poked with needles while trying to inject or draw blood from an uncooperative animal, so I can sort of understand how this happened (although I've never injected myself with anything!).

Don't worry, you'll be fine. It's probably not enough to affect you. The average cat weighs like 10-15lbs and humans weight at least 10 times that. That's kind of funny, but it does happen. When I took my cat in for her rabies shot at the vet she was pretty cooperative and still and my vet was like "Wow, she's being really good with this, sometimes we get cats that squirm around so much I end up injecting a co-worker!"

most common pain killers that are used, and the dose that would be used on a kitten probally would not affect you. you should know what it is, and then cal the vet, poison control or doctor to find out if you should be concerned.
