If you just drop sugared soft drinks, tea and/or coffee; you;d drop a few pounds. Also try eating a low fat diet with lots of veggies and fruit in it.
Exercising is very important, try doing yoga first to help your flexibility. Walking is good - not strolling, power walking. Then try repetitive weight lifting. You use lighter weights and do lots of reps. Perhaps you can join your local YMCA for these activities.
Vary your routine so you do not get bored.
Good luck.

Definitely stay active. This doesnt mean you have to do crunches all the time, but it wouldnt hurt to do some. You can do some activities like soccer or basketball. Do some running maybe. Losing weight doesnt have to be all hard, just do sports or activities you like to do. Then the best way to lose weight is to limit your portions on food. Eat 1/2 as much as you normally do, that way you can eat what you want. You will be kind of hungry at first but after a day or so youll be used to it. once youre used to it youll eat this way all the time. Its a great way to keep weight off. Try not to watch commercials when your watching tv because the food commercials will make you hungry again. Then youll have the munchies, and of course you dont want that.

Exercise is the first key..if you haven't exercised before it might be best to start walking. If you have access to a treadmill a good routine would be to walk as fast as you can where you aren't out of breath at a 5.0 incline. Try this 3x a week for 30 minutes.
Nutrition is the second step..blood sugar stabilization is the key to a health diet. Eat within an hour of waking up a balanced meal (protien-any animal or soy product,fats-oil, butter, nuts, nut butter, cheese, guac, avocado, sour cream, meat w/ fat like beef or salmon carbohydrate-(everything else) grains, fruits, vegetables
each meal should be about 250 calories and you should eat every 3-4 hours. You want to be satisfied and not over hungry or still hungry. If you are still hungry eat a half a meal at about 125 calories.
Get a good amount of sleep each night 7-8 hours.
Drink 2-3 bottles of water a day.
Take vitamins- multi, calcium, and omega-3/flax oil (if you aren't eatting that many fish products)
Try journals your food on a piece of paper it helps to stay focused on what you are eating.
Remember no day is perfect, just always try to get back on track.
good luck.

Perform 200 minutes of cardio a week. Do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Best of luck.

i have been losing a pound a day by doing this:
step:1- eat no more than 1,800 calories a day ( you can buy lower calorie foods if you need )
step:2- drink at least 3 bottles of cold water a day ( i dont care much for water but it makes me get filled up easier and it makes me feel better)
step:3- do NOT eat after 7:00 p.m.
step:4- get a lil extra sleep ( you burn 60 calories an hour when you sleep and you cant eat while you are sleeping)
step:5- do at least 500 jumping jacks b4 8
if you do this, i promise you will lose weight! hope i helped. Good luck!

I lost 15 kilos since mid December. My method is - no solid foods for 7 days, only tea (no sugar) to drink. After that one week eat one slice of bread for breakfast. All you eat for lunch must fit into a standard cup (of course if it's 10 Mars bars this won't work)- so stick to rice and meat. Same thing for dinner. No food after 19.00.
Conditions: you're healthy. You stick with it for months on end. THEN it works.
I'm 187 cm/ 6ft 2 tall and 100 kilos/ 210 pounds (?) today. Still going down, about 1 kilo every 6-7 days.
