Hi Kritika, As ur name suggests u r an Indian, assuming that u r in India, i would suggest Amla. Like you only, i also love healthy dark hair. I had thm just like tht great looking whn i ws in school, but later due to hard water i got bleahed effect. By God's grace, I again have healthy dark hair, this has worked for me, can surely work for u too !
Do's :
'Amla' worked like magic for me ! I used amla hair oil (previously was using mix of many herbs), twice a week, keeping it at least for 2 days.
'Diet': moderately high in protein value, i also included amla and coconut in my rourine diet
(if u take regular oil massage and right diet, u will need not even to apply hair conditioner, they are well conditioned from within)
'water': drink water as required, i dont think i need to explain the need n gain here, but dont make it much excess drinking of water can wash of elements from body.
avoid 'dandruff'
keep them 'clean' using mild shampoo min 2-3 times a week
if you live in high pollution area shampoo every other day using least amount of shampoo
Dont's :
harmful treatments and chemicals
( i believe there is much harm here than gain. )
Too hot water for hair wash
too thightly bound ponytail
(let ur scalp breath, keep them free at times)
excess brushing, inappropriate/ unclean hair brush

u can eat only healthy food & avoid all the junk food. apply warm coconut oil once in a week. plus take proper care of ur hair by keeping them clean and washing them atleast once or twice in a week.use proper shampoo with conditioner which will suit ur hair. use minimum chemicals that means u can use Ayurvedic Shampoo or Herbal which is with less chemicals. take proper rest and exercise well. drink atleast 8 glass of water daily.
can apply henna mixed with amla & shikakai pwd, once in a month.
reciepe for beautiful hair- grate ginger & mix with honey. eat 1 spoon daily. u can prepare this & keep in fridge to preserve it.
And last but not the least - stay healthy, keep away frm tension and keep smiling than see how ur hair grow healthy n stays black .
