If they are paying that much money for you to be there, I think it is ultimately their decision. Unless you want to take over the bill.
$20,000 is a lot, and you are lucky that your parents are paying. They might think you are partying too much.
Be thankful they paid this far. You could have ended up like me: paying my own way and being miserable - no money or time to party.

Your at that age when you have to decide when to break the apron strings from parents. It is tough - but we have all gone through it. If you are loving your experience and don't want to return home under your parents rules you should look into financial aid and stay in Missouri. The first step for getting financial aid is filling out the application at www.fafsa.gov.ed and then it will determine what you are eligible for. Student loans are always available. You would be making a strong statement to your parents that you can be independent and are going to make adult decisions for yourself now. Good luck - whatever choice you make is your decision. Own it!

Well, I don't blame them for wanting to bring you back home if you're not taking school seriously. $20,000 is allot to waste if you're not putting any effort into it. If you're serious about wanting to do better and to stay in school, I would try and talk to them about giving you a probationary period. If you don't bring your grades up by the end of the semester, then you should go back home. If you do raise your grades, you should be entitled to stay as long as you keep a good GPA. Good luck.

Time to start studing your tail off or change to an easy major. However, if you really don't like the school and are homesick, that could also negatively impact your grades and it might be best to transfer to a school back home.

It's your choice really, work hard at your grades and stay to keep parents off your back or give up and go home, which do you want more?

Ok what about finanical aid and grants. Why does she have to be the one to rule where you go to school. She is just being a straight up b@%ch. Talk to your dad, find out what he has to say.

She is you're "Stepmother". Talk to you're father and let him know one on one how you feel.
College is expensive and you have to put forth you're best effort to keep those grades up.
