Has anyone read cats in the belfry by dorian tovey (think thats how you spell it)?

its one of my favs its so funny the simease are such charicters

its a great book if you love cats its so funny and if you own simiease you will be in heaven

I have - it's wonderful. Doreen Tovey writes wonderfully & her cats seem to come alive as you read.

There's quite a few all about her Siamese cats &, until recently, the only way to get hold of them was for extortionate sums of money on eBay - however they seem to be planning to reprint them all (or fingers crossed) - try this link:

I read this book many years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it - in fact you've reminded me how good it was and I must re-read it.

I was owned by Siamese Cats for many years and several were "characters" like those in the book. In fact one was a big neutered male who's finest hour was taking a flying leap onto our dining table, not realising that the table was in use for dinner with guests. He surfed through a plate of curry in front of one of our female guests and she ended up wearing it. Fortunately she saw the funny side....

Wonderful book! I read it over and over again when I first discovered it (back when it was first published in the 1960s). Our very first cat was a Siamese so I could relate to a lot of the behaviour she describes!
