Do you currently have a suspended license, or it was suspended at some point? If you are currently suspended, you would have no need for insurance. Insurance companies are allowed to go back three years on your driving license, ten for alcohol offenses, even if those offenses were reduced down to a neg or reckless driving. You will be required to carry SR22 simpley because of the suspension, and your insurance rates will be higher because of your credit rating.

Well, you're probably going to have Progressive or Leader or Windsor insurance, as long as you do have a currently valid license. All of them will take poor credit and prior suspensions.
You'll pay through the nose for it, though.
Call a local, independent agent, and be up front with them, and let them get you a couple quotes.

Bad credit is one of the worst problems to have... however there exists a solution.
I will hereby talk from my personal experience.
I did debt consolidation a couple of years ago, however If I had to do it again I would pay to some minor details,
if someone wants to get out of debt today it is pretty easy with a debt consolidation plan, however it may get a bit tricky at times, I suggest you get as much information as possible online on this first,
a good place to start in my humble opinion is astraight to the point ebook with question and answer I found :
http://umgarticles.atspace.com/debt-consolidation.htm
if it helps kindly remember me in your voting!.. cheers!

If you don't have a license, you won't be driving, so you really have no need for insurance until you get your license back.
When that time comes, you will be in the high risk group, sometimes referred to as "SR 22" insurance. Go to any agent, they should be able to find you a place in the bad driver pool.
Tell your husband if he puts you as an excluded driver, he won't have the high rise in his rates.

You may want to try getting a quote online. I am paying less than ½ of what I was before.
